Yes I  was diagnosed with High Blood Pressure, but the good news is that it’s totally under control. One of the things I want to explore on this site amongst others is the issue whether there is a standard The Cause of High Blood Pressure. I would suspect that the issues and cause(s) lie quite deeper than this but nonetheless we can investigate.

I was diagnosed with extremely high Blood Pressure in 2001 with a reading of 216 over 160 – yes that high.

To put it into perspective, ideallevels should be in the region of 120 over 80 but now my readings regularly come in at around the 120-40 over 75-85 levels.

How did this come about? Exercise and medication.

Medication in the early stages as the situation had to be brought under control….and fast and latterly exercise.

To be honest, it’s a number of things that will keep this under control but onwards ever forward.

So what is the purpose of this site?

Well really it’s to spread the message that a diagnosis of High Blood Pressure is not the “Death Sentence” it once was and that you can do something proactive about it.

Yes we are promoting certain items on this site. It’s how we pay for the site and they are things that I believe in.

What does the future have in store for me and what actions will I take?

Exercise, rest and relaxation and if I keep these up then I will be able to cut back on the medication right down to the bare minimum which is where I want to be.

Why the bare minimum?

Well to be honest, my initial diagnosis was so extreme that it would be totally foolhardy of me to drop the medication now it’s under control. Call it an insurance policy if you will but it doesn’t mean that I don’t fully subscribe to the methods, techniques and practices that I refer to in this site, I do and it’s because of them that I’ve been able to drop my readings down to the average levels and keep them there.
